This accredited, University instructor-led course in Endocannabinoid Science and Athletics equips our clinical and athletic training staff with evidence-based knowledge of cannabis pharmacology, medical applications, and legal frameworks ( Accredited by NSCA, BoC and CATA). This training directly improves productivity by enabling our staff to make more informed, policy-aligned clinical decisions; reduces time lost to unmanaged pain and misinformation; and supports safer, more efficient rehabilitation protocols. Staff will gain skills in a category of medicine that is increasingly relevant and commonly accessed by athletes due to changing federal cannabis legalization and evolving professional league regulations.

Content emphasizes applied sport science principles and the psycho-physiological factors influencing performance, wellness, and recovery in athletic populations. The course also addresses ethical, legal, and professional considerations related to cannabinoid use in sport and health contexts. Based on the learning objectives and applied focus, this course aligns primarily with AASP CMPC Knowledge Area K3 (Sport Science), with applicable components relevant to K2 (Sport Psychology) and K1 (Professional Ethics & Standards).
